BARAMBLANC
Baramblanc is our white wine made from red Garnacha and Tempranillo grapes using the “blanc de noirs” production method. Its aging on lees gives it complexity without losing its freshness and acidity. A true delight for your senses.
Additional information
| Varieties | 50% Garnacha |
|---|---|
| Garnacha | Vineyards between 15 – 25 years old at an elevation of 550 meters, cultivated and enhanced by the Cierzo Wind on the swept slopes of the Moncayo Mountain. Traditional bush planted formation in very dry farmed land. Soils are mainly ferrous clay and slates, with high stony quartz and sandstones. Harvest takes place in the second half of October, hand-picked and triaged at the winery. |
| Tempranillo | 25 to 35 years old vines located at an elevation of 550 meters above sea level. Soil composition are mainly red clay with two variations depending on the location; one area contains iron providing deep color to the wines and the other area is calcareous providing acidity and freshness to the wines. Harvest takes place in the first week of October by hand. |
| Elaboration | Both varieties are elaborated separately using the "Blanc de noirs" method. The grapes are chilled overnight and, after a gentle and short pressing without destemming, we obtained a very low color must by avoiding contact with the skins. After racking the must, fermentation begins at a controlled temperature of between 14°C and 18°C. 10% of this must ferments in French oak barrels and the rest in stainless steel tanks. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is aged on its own lees for 6 months with periodic batonage. |
| Tasting notes | Baramblanc has a light yellow luster color with silvery hints, typical of this special elaboration. The nose presents intense citrus aromas of lemon and lime coupled with the acidity of red fruit. The palate exhibits a bright freshness and intensity, with a savory note and a large volume resulting from the on-the-lees ageing, giving it a developed rich complexity. |
